In typical fashion, I skipped reading the Instructions.

Now that I have played a few rounds (a bit more successfully), I can say that there are the makings of a unique shmup, here - the sort of isometric view partnered with the ability to move the bridge itself adds something fresh to the genre that I have never seen before.

Excited to see what comes next!

Heck yeah, this is really neat! Not much of a bullet hell kinda guy myself but I like how the bridge movement keeps you on your toes and narrows down the movement possibilities in an interesting way.

Battle On Guan Bridge is a fun, solid prototype for a shmup.

The central premise is that you can move both your character and your path through the stage. I'm not 100% these are different things in the current build (you can just move the bridge when you move your character, and then it's sort of the same as a regular shmup,) but if the bridge could take damage? Or if you could dispose of rolling projectiles by moving the bridge out from underneath them? There's a lot of potential here.

Overall, I'm really interested to see where this goes!

How do you do this
